Joe King began DJ'ing in the Seattle club scene in 1998. He got his start as the
resident DJ at Spintron. From there, his career led him to his
Friday night residency at Re-bar, Seattle's longest running
nightclub. Joe King is currently a resident DJ at Ego, Seattle
hottest new nightclub. Joe is a perpetual favorite in the
northwest and always has a large crowd for his events. When Joe
isn't dazzling his fans at the turn tables, he has worked actively
behind the scenes bringing some of the nation's greatest DJs to
Seattle; including Phil B, Susan Morabito, David Knapp, Roland
Belmares, Rick Mitchell, Neil Lewis, and Lydia Prim.
Joe King's lifelong
passion has been his love of music. Through years of playing a wide
variety of music, he has developed a sound and style that he is known
for today. His style encompasses vocal house, tribal, progressive
house and trance. Joe King weaves his musical tapestry in a way that
pulls in his crowd and takes them to another level.
This past year has been
filled with excitement. Joe played his first gig in San Francisco at
Metropolis and received a very warm welcome. From that gig came
several more offers to return to San Francisco to play for "Ball of
Pride" and "Bump." In addition he will be making his debut in Los
Angeles in June. When TBB Productions asked him to return to spin for
Vancouver's Pride 2001, he was ecstatic. Joe has always viewed
Vancouver BC as his second DJ residency next to Seattle. In the past
few years he played for the Vancouver boys for Pride weekends and New
Years. The response and welcome he has received were always
overwhelming and humbling at the same time. Vancouver boys always know
how to make a DJ feel welcome.
